Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you have read and fully understood these Terms and Conditions before making your booking. These Terms and Conditions, together with the web-based booking form, constitute the entire Agreement concerning the provision of taxi and airport transfer services (“Service”) between you and Dash Private Hire Ltd. Completion of the booking form and use of the Service indicates your unconditional acceptance of all terms set out in this Agreement.


Definitions

“Dash Private Hire Ltd” means Dash Private Hire Ltd.
“You” / “Your” means any individual, company or other entity placing a booking with us.

Booking

You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi. As guidance:

  • For train journeys, you must allow at least 60 minutes before your departure time.
  • For bus, coach and tram, you must book your taxi minimum 60 minutes before departure.
    • Example: If your train/plane/appointment is at 11:00am, your taxi must be booked for no later than 10:00am.

Airport Transfers

  • For all airports, you MUST book your taxi 3–5 hours before flight departure.
  • For distant airports (e.g., Heathrow, Manchester), you must allow additional time based on distance and traffic.

Dash Private Hire Ltd will not be held responsible for delays caused by failure to allow enough travel time or if passengers are not ready at the booked collection time.

Peak Hours

Between 7:00am and 9:00am, you must book your taxi at least 1 hour prior to your required departure. We do not take responsibility for missed connections during these hours if inadequate notice is given.

Vehicle Size & Requirements

You must book a suitable vehicle for the number of passengers and luggage. We cannot guarantee to carry excessive luggage.
A child of any age counts as one passenger.

If you require wheelchair transport, this must be specified at the time of booking.

Special Requests

Any special requests or deviations must not be booked online. You must call the office on 01904 765765 for a tailored booking.

Immediate Bookings

Bookings for immediate pickup are subject to vehicle availability, especially for vehicles with more than four seats. Please call 01904 765765 to confirm availability.

Booking Accuracy

You must check all booking details before submitting. Dash Private Hire Ltd is not responsible for booking errors made by the customer.

Pets

If travelling with pets, you must inform the operator when booking. We reserve the right to refuse any animals except registered guide dogs.

Coverage Area

Please ensure we cover your location before booking. Additional time may be required if your pickup is outside central service areas.

All journeys must start or end within the areas we service. We reserve the right to refuse bookings outside our operating boundaries.


Prices & Payments

All online quoted prices include VAT.
For VAT receipts, please contact the office or your driver.

Quoted prices do not include waiting time.
For extra pickups or drops, you must notify the call centre to receive an updated price.

Payment Methods

Payment can be made by credit card, debit card or cash.

  • If paid by card and you cancel before a vehicle is dispatched, a full refund will be issued within 5 working days.
  • If the vehicle has been dispatched or has arrived, we reserve the right to charge the full fare.

Prices may vary due to traffic, road closures, delays or unforeseen circumstances.

Multi-Seater Vehicle Availability

While we will always aim to provide the requested vehicle type, multi-seater vehicles cannot be guaranteed. In the event that a multi-seater vehicle is unavailable, two separate vehicles will be dispatched, and each vehicle will be charged separately at the applicable rate.


The Service

You are responsible for the behaviour of all passengers in your party.

  • A £80 cleaning fee will be charged if a vehicle is soiled.
  • Eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted.
  • Children must be restrained according to age, height, and weight regulations. Parents must supply and fit their own child seats. Drivers cannot store child seats for return journeys.

Dash Private Hire Ltd will not carry more passengers than allowed by licensing or insurance.

Non-payment of fare will result in prosecution. Ensure you have sufficient funds before travelling.


Cancellations & Fees

If you need to cancel, contact Dash Private Hire Ltd immediately.

You may be charged a cancellation fee if:

  • You cancel 5+ minutes after the driver accepts your trip.
  • You cancel after the driver arrives at the pickup point.
  • You fail to show (“no fare”) at pickup.
  • Dash Private Hire Ltd cancels because the driver has waited at the address.

Cancellation fees vary by area and vehicle type.

A booking fee may apply to support operational, regulatory and safety costs.


Liability

Dash Private Hire Ltd will use reasonable efforts to get you to your destination on time but is not liable for delays caused by traffic, road conditions or events outside our control.

We accept no liability for loss of profits, business, or any indirect or consequential loss.

All luggage is carried entirely at your risk.

We may cancel services and issue refunds in the event of national emergencies, extreme weather, riots, fuel shortages, terrorist incidents, or other events beyond our control.

If the vehicle breaks down, we will attempt to provide an alternative vehicle as soon as possible.

You indemnify Dash Private Hire Ltd against losses arising from acts or omissions by any passenger in your party.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.


Termination

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a booking immediately if any passenger behaves abusively or poses a risk to the driver or vehicle.
Passengers will be asked to leave the vehicle safely.
No refund will be issued if the journey is terminated for these reasons.


Miscellaneous

Dash Private Hire Ltd may subcontract its obligations under this Agreement.
You may not assign your rights or obligations without written consent.

Terms may be updated at any time by posting changes online.
Existing bookings will be honoured at the rate confirmed at the time of booking.

We process all personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws.

This Agreement constitutes the full agreement between you and Dash Private Hire Ltd.

No third party may enforce any rights under this Agreement unless agreed in writing.


Disputes

This Agreement is governed by English Law.
Both parties agree to submit disputes exclusively to the English Courts.


Conveying of Children

UK law exempts taxis from child-seat legislation, but for safety reasons, Dash Private Hire Ltd cannot provide child seats.

Parents/carers must:

  • Provide their own child seat.
  • Fit it themselves.
  • Label any seat left with the driver for a return journey.
